About Me
I’ve called Saudi Arabia home since 2012, when I first arrived in Rabigh. It was there, by the Red Sea, that I fell in love with this country. Weekends were spent enjoying the clear waters, having BBQs with friends, and exploring the beauty of the Kingdom. Over the years, my connection to Saudi Arabia has only deepened, shaping who I am today.
As I’ve built my career in education and strategic development, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of Saudization—the national effort to create more opportunities for Saudi nationals across industries. This topic is close to my heart, as I’ve worked alongside both expats and Saudis, seeing its impact on the workforce, economy, and social landscape. It’s a conversation that deserves to be explored, and it’s one I’m passionate about sharing.
This blog was born from the need for more insight into Saudi Arabia from an expat perspective. While I want to share my journey, I also want to highlight the experiences of others who have made Saudi Arabia their home—both expats and Saudis alike. Through this space, I aim to explore the evolving landscape of Saudization, life in the Kingdom, and the rich history, culture, and rapid growth happening here.
My mission is simple: to educate, share, and foster a sense of community for those navigating life in Saudi Arabia. Whether you’re an expat just arriving, a long-time resident, or simply curious about the Kingdom, I hope you find something here that resonates with your own experiences—or sparks a new interest in this fascinating country.
